BIOGRAPHY

Gabrijela Ubavic, lyric-coloratura soprano, enjoyed her first major international success in 2010, singing the role of Pamina in Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute” in Theatre J.K.Tyla Plzen, in Czech Republic. This was followed by other roles, such as Gilda in Verdi’s “Rigoletto”; Violetta in Verdi’s “La traviata”; Romilda in Händel’s “Xerxes”; Norina in Donizetti’s “Don Paquale”; Adina in Donizetti’s “L’elisird’amore”, as well as performances throughout Europe – Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine. Ubavic was born in Pozarevac, Serbia, where she finished elementary and secondary music education in the department for instrumental music as a pianist and graduated from the theoretical department. She graduated in Solo Singing from the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, in the class of Professor Mijailovic. She then moved to Vienna, where she continues…
